EKG/Holter Monitor
Electrocardiology (EKG) records the electrical function of your heart and changes them to images that a cardiologist can read to interpret heart activity and function. It is harmless and painless.
A Holter Monitor uses similar technology to monitor your heart over a 24-hour period. A therapist uses state-of-the-art computer technology to scan the images and produce a report that shows the electrical function of your heart for the cardiologist to read.
Hours of Operation
The Outpatient Electrocardiology department is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EKG/Holter Monitor is available for patients admitted to the hospital per their physician's request 24/7.
EKG/Holter Staff
Board Certified Cardiologists interpret the studies. All therapists are registered or certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care and are licensed by the State of Florida.
